Wallet and security basics

You’ll need to use a non-custodial wallet to connect with Trove. This wallet functions as your trading account. If you’re new to crypto, take a moment to review the basics below.


Key Terms

Wallet: A hardware or software tool that stores your private keys and authorizes transactions. Examples include MetaMask, Phantom, Rabby, and Keplr.

Access Trove tools

Address: Your wallet’s public identifier on a blockchain network. This is the address others use to send you crypto assets. And looks like this, 0xa...c9b (for ERC20)


Private Key / Seed Phrase: Proof of wallet ownership that allows you to sign transactions. Never share this information with anyone.

Non-custodial: You maintain full control of your keys and funds. Trove cannot access or move your assets — it simply provides the tools for you to trade on Trove
